Concert Attire Policy:

All students who perform with a SMHS ensemble must wear the clothing appropriate for their ensemble. Please read the description for your ensemble(s) carefully. If you have any questions about whether or not a piece of clothing is appropriate please see your director before concert night. Arriving with inappropriate clothing will result in being sent home to change or not being allowed on stage for the concert.

Freshman and Sophomore Choir, Symphonic Band and Concert Orchestra:
· All students will wear a solid white dress shirt. The shirt most be true white and not off white or cream. The men are encouraged to wear a tie.
· The men will wear dress black pants with black socks and black dress shoes. (Flip-flops and tennis shoes are not appropriate foot wear!)
· The women will wear a black skirt that falls below the knees when seated OR black dress pants with dress black shoes. (Flip-flops and tennis shoes are not appropriate foot wear!)

Junior and Senior A Cappella Choirs:
· All students will wear dress clothes and shoes. They will then be provided with a choir robe and stole to wear for each concert.

Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble:
· The women will wear traditional black concert attire. The top will be ¾ length sleeve or longer and should be cut modestly. The women will wear a black skirt that falls below the knees when seated OR black dress pants with dress black shoes. (Flip-flops and tennis shoes are not appropriate foot wear!)
· The men will wear a black tuxedo with black bow tie and cummerbund (provided). The men will wear a tux shirt that can be purchased from their director and black dress shoes. (Flip-flops and tennis shoes are not appropriate foot wear!)
